My name is Jarad Johnson.I like to make things. Sometimes those things are companies. For the past fourteen years I\'ve been building Mostly Serious —and more recently, Habitat Communication & Culture—in the Midwest, where we help leaders of companies solve difficult problems. I am beyond fortunate to work with my business partner, Spencer Harris, and a team of wonderfully talented, dedicated, and kind people.I spend a good portion of my life trying to be better for the people I love. It\'s not easy and that\'s the fun of it. My wife and I have two kids who ensure we live in a constant state of chaos. I like shiny new toys, solving complex problems, and most things that allow me to be hyper competitive in a socially acceptable way.A friend once described me as having irrational confidence and that felt nice. My wife once pointed out that I look like a young Julia Child and that felt not nice.
