ABOUT JAPLEEN PASRICHA

Japleen Pasricha is a social entrepreneur with over 14+ years of building, scaling, and sustaining a nationally and globally recognised media and advocacy organisation. She has proven expertise in strategy, systems design, advocacy-led growth, and public communication. She built Feminism in India (FII) from inception into India’s most influential feminist media platform, now operating on strong leadership, processes, and sustainability frameworks. Her expertise lies in shaping public narratives on gender, technology, SRHR, climate, and justice across South Asia and the Global South. She is an expert in narrative development, rapid-response campaigning, editorial leadership, movement-building, and multi-stakeholder partnerships with UN agencies, INGOs, donors, and grassroots networks.She is also a TEDx speaker and was recognised as a Young Innovator in 2018 by World Summit Awards. She has been part of various fellowships like Women Lift Health\'s 2026 India Leadership Journey, 2022 Acumen India Fellowship, 2019 Swedish Institute Leader Lab, 2019 Rise Up Youth Championship, among others. Japleen was featured by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in a book on ‘Women in Tech’ for her work at FII and facilitated by Maneka Gandhi and the Ministry of Women & Child Development, GoI, as Web Wonder Woman. She has also been recognised by the Swedish Foreign Minister for her work on the gender gap on Wikipedia. Currently, Japleen oversees the strategic vision and growth at FII and consults with the international development sector, non-profits, and brands on gender advocacy, inclusive communications and strategic leadership. She likes to garden, travel, hike, swim and cycle and is slowly moving towards a low-waste sustainable lifestyle.
