About Jason W.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.” — Terry PratchettHello! I\'m Jason. I\'m a physics PhD student enrolled at Oregon State University. I get to explore my passion about physics and education by doing research in the Oregon State University Physics Education Research (OSUPER) group. Connecting with students and helping them develop the intuition and skillset of physicists brought me to Physics Education Research, though I have interest and experience in biophysics as well. In 2025, I earned my M.S. in Physics. In 2021, I graduated with a B.S. in Physics with emphases in Biophysics and Astrophysics from Boise State University. Before that, I completed two A.S. degrees at College of Western Idaho in Biology and Microbiological, Molecular and Biomedical Science. When not buried in doctorate duties (), I love to sail! The sport (and the physics!) are fascinating. I enjoy working on my archery marksmanship, making educational videos, writing fiction, and writing and performing the occasional comedy routine. Thanks for visiting! I\'d be happy to connect!
