ABOUT JANYA SARWAL

My academic background equips me with a strong foundation in global affairs, and an understanding of key geopolitical issues. This experience taught me how grassroots engagement, creative expression, and policy awareness can intersect meaningfully. I have developed the ability to engage effectively in professional and multidisciplinary environments, adapt to evolving challenges, and approach problems with a strategic and research oriented mindset. I have enhanced my skills in academic writing, report drafting, and evidence based decision making, all of which are essential in policy driven and organisational settings. Additionally, my leadership and volunteer experiences have helped me cultivate strong organisational, teamwork, and leadership skills, along with a sense of responsibility and initiative. My experience spans research, policy writing, and content development across organisations such as The Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy, Diplomatic Club and Pixeled Apps Inc, where I produced analytical reports and geopolitical content. I have authored papers on Climate induced displacement in South Asia, India’s foreign policy, U.S. strategic realism, and Women\'s rights in Gulf diplomacy, reflecting my commitment to producing rigorous and policy relevant work. My dissertation on Comparative Analysis of contested territories, Kashmir and Northern Ireland and further elaborating a global overview of disputed territories further strengthens my analytical and theoretical grounding. Alongside academics, I have held leadership roles developing strong skills in communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement. I am eager to apply my knowledge in real world settings.
