Do you remember Logo, an old DOS application? That\'s what got me hooked into programming!As a kid most applications on our DOS computer were just plain boring, but not Logo. I would type in instructions, the turtle would follow it & shapes would appear on screen! Magic!It allowed my imagination to run wild & taught me that - The only limits on what you can build are self-imposed- To build great things, you just have to take the first small step- Never be afraid of a blank canvas.I jumped at the first chance to learn to build software via Diploma in Computer Engineering. I was able to learn & apply formal computer science concepts immediately after school.I deployed my first \"real\" application to \"real\" users before I even started my Bachelors! And since I\'ve delivered many projects - Desktop apps, Android apps, Web Utilities & even full fledged API-first Web Portals.I became fascinated with distributed systems, their unique constraints & advantages during my Bachelors in Information Technology & I\'m incredibly proud of Aclivis, a trading engine I designed with modular architecture & plug- & -play support for automated trading strategies.At Morgan Stanley I\'ve helped build systems that make us the #1 provider of Equity Swaps, a complex & dynamic OTC Derivative. We provide best-in-class features & extremely flexible product by using technology across all business processes.I also realized my passion for teaching & mentoring here. I ran Code Kata, an open book coding & mentoring event, to teach concepts of writing clean, modular & extensible code. I also taught an advanced data structures course at my Alma Mater as part of MS University.Over the years colleagues have called me \"Well qualified & insightful\",\"Key contributor\",\"Perfect all-rounder\",\"Excellent team player\", but I\'m most proud of being named the \"Go-To guy\". I have always believed in approaching every opportunity with passion, be it achieving Gold medal in college or being relied upon for critical responsibilities at work.I believe that software is a craft, to be nurtured with broad & diverse skills. I\'m excited by elegant designs, scalable & robust architecture, secure coding practices & efficient algorithms. Every technology out there has something to teach you - an interesting design pattern, a novel approach & more.When I\'m not busy with a project or learning new tech I love to read fiction; from epic Sci-Fi sagas to thrilling spy adventures & intriguing murder mysteries.I would love to connect with you, for mentoring, collaborations or conversations.Do reach out!
