About William Trey Jansen
I am a fourth year Honors student, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, at Miami University (OH). Additionally, enrolled in my department’s “4+1” program, I will be receiving a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering after my fifth year. Through serving as project manager on numerous school projects and interning at Batesville Products, Inc. during Summer 2024 and 2025, I have a great deal of experience leading and working on an engineering team to produce data-driven results. Beyond my industry experience, I also have experience being a student-scholar at Miami University. Beginning in my Sophomore year, I have collaborated with professors, both in the Mathematics and Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Departments, on extracurricular projects. Most recently, I was awarded a research scholarship from the Ohio Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) to conduct research with Dr. Carter Hamilton; details of this research opportunity can be found in my feed. Furthermore, I have been a TA for two courses: Fluid Mechanics and Measurements and Instrumentation.
