I am a partner in the Labor and Employment Law Department of Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s South Bend and Elkhart, Indiana offices. I also serve as the Firmwide Higher Education Chair.I defend employers in labor and employment litigation in federal and state courts, as well as before various governmental agencies, such as the OFCCP, EEOC and NLRB. In addition to litigating claims, I focus on proactively advising management on personnel and employment-related issues. I frequently advise clients on issues related to affirmative action plans, including preparing plans, planning for and defending OFCCP audits, and conducting compensation analyses. I also work extensively with Higher Education and K-12 institutions, assisting them with legal issues, including Title IX, FERPA, and other issues affecting students and faculty/staff.
