ABOUT JANIE WALKER
I am a certified and experienced yoga teacher. My disciplines include breathwork, meditation, hatha and vinyasa, MindRest (Yoga Nidra), restorative yoga, yin yoga and mindfulness. My speciality is nervous system balancing and supporting individuals, organisations and teams to create lifetime practices for a calmer life. I work from my forest-studio in Titahi Bay and out in the community and business world. My classes allow people to shift from the stress response to the relaxation response with easy and calming practices, for all bodies and experiences. I support those who are stressed, burnt out, overwhelmed, recovering, have Long Covid or other chronic conditions, or people just wanting to find a little more ease and joy. My little forest-studio classes holds up to four people and I teach online, in workplaces and community spaces (churches, schools, Cancer Society, End of Life care, women\'s groups, P Pull NZ, Hospice, community centres). I also run Calm Hub - in-house workplace stress reduction practices to increase mental wellbeing at work. After a lifetime of stressful passionate work (resulting in anxiety, depression and chronic stress), I have found how to work, live and share in a calmer way.
