About Janie Oshea
From the mountains to the sea, I love being outside and sharing the wonders of the natural world with others. From leading trips across Hawaii to facilitating waterfront activities on a mountain lake, my vast experience leading and guiding all ages makes me a perfect candidate for roles in the outdoor adventure travel industry. As an extroverted leader and encourager, I hope to build relationships, teach others what they’re capable of, and collaborate with coworkers to make lasting memories for clients. What better way to gain momentum for the environmental movement than by getting curious minds outside and immersing them in the beauty of our protected lands, teaching them the importance of conservation and preservation along the way! My customer service, organizational, and communication skills are well-suited for experiential education, and I look forward to putting them to good use. With extensive international and domestic travel experience, I am eager to grow eco-tourism by leading others in life-changing outdoor adventures. Encouraging the next generation to get outside, unplug, challenge themselves, and see all the world has to offer has been beyond rewarding. I take pride in safely facilitating the trip of a lifetime, taking care of everything from trip logistics to meals to risk mitigation/management and working with outfitters in the front-country and back-country.From trip leader to coach to role model and mentor, I am excited to bring my outdoor leadership and hospitality skills to the next adventure and make a lasting impact on others!
