About Janice Greeno

Janice Greeno, MA is the Senior Outreach Program Manager at Banner Sun Health Research Institute (BSHRI) and Banner Alzheimer’s Institute (BAI). Janice is passionate about cultivating joy and success with people living with memory and movement disorders and their care partners as they navigate day-to-day life. She is honored to promote outstanding clinical care and revolutionary research at both BSHRI and BAI. She enjoys being the co-host of the innovative and award-winning podcast, Dementia Untangled. Janice serves as the Arizona State Lead for Dementia Friends USA and Dementia Friendly America. She facilitates Dementia Friends Information Sessions and Champion trainings, building an understanding of dementia, reducing stigma, promoting empathy and sharing resources. Janice has supported Phoenix, Glendale, Fountain Hills, Sun Lakes, Goodyear, Scottsdale, Pima County, Mesa, Flagstaff, Buckeye and Gilbert in joining Tempe and Surprise, making a total of 13 Dementia Friendly communities in Arizona. She also leads the City of Surprise Memory Café and the Dementia Friendly Surprise Action Team. Prior to coming to BSHRI and BAI, she lead volunteers and staff in making a 1.5 million dollar difference with generous volunteer service hours and financial grants in 2017 alone. Since coming to Banner Health in 2005, she has served in various roles including the management of the Volunteer Resources and Spiritual Care Services Departments of two hospitals, two gift shops, a thrift shop, an ambulatory care center, student programs, system-wide department leadership and additional programs impacting patients, children, families and the community. She is experienced in managing, building and collaborating on strong teams, such as the innovative \"Consumer Response Team,\" addressing patient, family and visitor concerns at one of Banner Health\'s Best of the Best Hospitals.Janice holds a Master\'s Degree in Human Communication, with coursework focused on organizational leadership and development. She is a certified \"Leaders as Teachers\" and \"Change Acceleration Process\" leader through Banner Health.
