   I started out in the company in the mailroom as an Inserter. Then delivered the newspaper via motor route for 17 years. I assisted in the Circulation Office as a Morning Clerk and substituted at the switchboard and for accounting as needed as well before taking a position as a part time Telemarketer. Then took on the full time position of Special Promotional Advertising Coordinator in the summer of 2001.The main focus of this position is to plan, design, & sell special advertising opportunities to area businesses relating to a vast array of topics based upon seasons, events, health related or other promotional ideas. Each year I have been showing an increase in participating merchants, which means increased revenue for newspaper. I work closely with our Display Advertising Department to enhance customer options and satisfaction and serve as the in-house contact person for walk-in or phone-in customers.I assist and cover for the Advertising Director when she is unavailable or away.I also do the tracking and collection of past due accounts from delinquent advertiser accounts.
