ABOUT JANI SAKSI
Translational biochemist with 15+ years of experience advancing drug discovery programs across cardiometabolic, obesity, and diabetes indications. I bring deep expertise in both large pharma and biotech startups, with a focus on therapeutic innovation and platform versatility.My background spans therapeutic antibody development at Harvard University and mRNA/LNP-based medicines at ModernaTX Inc. I have led to early discovery efforts and contributed to preclinical candidate nomination, with strengths in biologics, mRNA therapeutics, tissue-targeted LNP delivery, and assay development.I’ve authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications—including Cell (2017) and Nature (2021, 2025)—and contributed to a granted patent related to the discovery and targeting of the Fabkin hormone complex (WO20••••••00), which modulates insulin secretion and delays the onset of Type 1 and 2 diabetes in preclinical models.I am passionate about bridging basic research and clinical translation to deliver impactful therapies.
