ABOUT JANHAVI RAO
Janhavi joined Barclays in September 2012 to lead the Investment Banking Surveillance Technology program which was geared towards strengthening the bank’s controls. In January 2016 she was appointed Head of Compliance Technology. In 2016, Janhavi won the FDM Everywoman International Leader Award, having built a reputation for Innovation within the technology function. She was promoted to Managing Director in 2017 and subsequently the Head of Functions Technology. In March 2020 Janhavi was appointed the bank’s Chief Technology Officer.Prior to joining Barclays, Janhavi spent 11+ years at Goldman Sachs where she held a variety of roles including Head of Technology for US Shares Trading/Market Making and Head of Core Trading Technology for Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading.
