ABOUT JANGARA BLISS
I\'m a Computer Engineering student driven by a deep curiosity for how things work, especially at the intersection of hardware and software. I believe the best way to learn is by tackling real, hands-on challenges, even when the path isn\'t clear.My current research is a deep dive into that philosophy. I\'m working to bring a non-functional Sawyer industrial robot back to life to serve as a platform for autonomous inspection. The process so far has involved extensive hardware diagnostics—tracing a boot failure to its root cause in the BIOS —and now requires a full system rebuild with a new SSD after discovering the original OS was corrupted on an encrypted drive.Alongside the hardware restoration, I\'m building the AI and robotics software stack from the ground up. This involves teaching myself how to engineer a synthetic data pipeline with Python and Blender, training YOLOv8 computer vision models, and configuring a ROS environment with tools like MoveIt and Gazebo.I am looking for a Summer 2026 internship where I can bring this hands-on, problem-solving approach to an experienced team. I am eager to learn and ready to contribute to solving the next generation of robotics challenges. If that sounds like your team, I\'d love to connect.
