I believe that some of healthcare\'s most complex financial puzzles—value-based care contracts and incentive structures—are actually our best tools for achieving social justice.As Executive Director of Quality and Incentives at Boston Medical Center Health System, I sit at the intersection of clinical excellence and fiscal sustainability. My focus is simple but challenging: ensuring that \"value\" in healthcare explicitly includes equity. Whether it’s generating $11M in performance improvements through ACO quality scores or launching philanthropically funded programs to close disparities in cardiometabolic care, I am driven by the belief that a community is only as healthy as its most vulnerable member.My approach is rooted in my upbringing in a small town, where the importance of looking out for your neighbor was a way of life. Today, I bring that same community-first mindset to large-scale population health strategy.
