I am a Risk Manager in practice and at heart, with deep experience in claims oversight, loss control strategy, and operational risk management within specialty insurance, as well as in-house, risk management. At SUITELIFE Underwriting Managers — part of the Ryan Specialty family — I oversee risk and claims programs supporting luxury hotels and hospitality groups across the U.S.I have been in my current role since 2017, I’ve led external and internal loss reporting - including large loss oversight, designed streamlined claims processes, and strengthened collaboration among underwriting teams, executive leadership, carrier partners, and external vendors. My work focuses on optimizing resources, improving operational consistency, and enhancing client satisfaction for complex, high-exposure hospitality risks.I thrive at the intersection of risk strategy, service delivery, and relationship management — ensuring that key stakeholders have clarity, data, and actionable insights during critical loss events. I’m passionate about elevating risk management programs that reduce claim severity, prevent losses, and improve overall portfolio performance.I give back to our industry as a mentor in various capacities. I value the mentor/mentee relationship that has had a significant impact on my own career. I participate in various community service organizations, industry groups and internal diversity and equity focus groups. I am involved in AI initiatives at RYAN, as well as independently. In my free time, you will often find me exploring new wineries and spending time with my sons.
