Edited world, national and metro news articles, as well as business, sports and feature articles. Wrote headlines, photo captions and edited graphics. With new content management systems in place, edit on all platforms: the freep.com website, mobile and print. Have done some writing for web and print. Chief polls editor for the newspaper. Was in charge of the copy desk several nights a week, supervising and assigning all work to other editors and serving as the point person to the news editor, nation/world and metro editors, along with the photo, design and graphics departments. Worked on a number of major news, business and feature projects, including several national and state award-winning projects, including our Pulitzer Prize-winning series on Kwame Kilpatrick. Edited several Free Press book projects, including hard-cover, coffee table and soft-cover books. Won several Free Press monthly awards for Best Headline.
