Since 2019, I have led external affairs for the nation\'s leading producer of construction aggregates (stone, sand and gravel) and related downstream materials (asphalt and concrete). I am responsible for building and maintaining the company\'s reputation and relationships, advocating for public policies that align with our business strategy, and managing the Community Relations/Government Relations team members that are the face of Vulcan to our neighbors and communities. The External Affairs function incorporates government relations (including political engagement, VMCPAC and lobbying), community relations (support for ongoing operations and permitting and expansion, community engagement, and corporate and Vulcan Materials Company Foundation giving). and corporate communications. With directors leading each of these areas, I invest time and company resources in developing, leading and aligning sustainability efforts at an enterprise level, which includes coordinating strategy, reporting and stakeholder engagement across functional groups and operating divisions.
