Ensuring evidence-based stroke care and excellent outcomes for our stroke patients, educating staff and providers, leading the Stroke Committee and ensuring readiness for the Joint Commission Stroke Survey is my focus. Policy and procedure review, order set maintenance, ensuring clinical practice guidelines are current, and interfacing with LA County and EMS providers are essential as well. In my PI role I coordinate, implement and evaluate all aspects of the MCH PI program, abstract patient charts for core measure data and compliance, coordinate PI meetings including compiling PI data across all hospital departments for presentation, and enter and download data to and from multiple government and compliance applications including TJC and CMS
