Having spent many years in the operating theatres I was at The London Clinic where I managed a large department with a significant budget.For the past four years I have had varied roles to increase my experience.I have worked with a project team planning and organising the layout of new theatres and upgrading the current ones including the highly technical Hybrid theatre which was built for interventional radiological and open vascular surgery.I feel I possess good strategic appreciation and vision and am able to build and implement plans.I have high integrity, am diligent and conscientous, hard-working and strive for excellence.Having spent 39 years in theatres have developed good interpersonal skills and work well with all grades of staff, also have a good range of managerial and leadership experience with a strong commitment to providing quality care and improvement.A good part of the working day is problem solving and am decisive and able to use my initiative to develop effective solutions. I am now looking to continue my theatre career with a similar position in a reasonable size theatre suite.Finished an Interim Theatre Managers post at Highgate Hospital, October 2013. Really enjoyed the challenge of raising the standards, supporting the team and preparing for CQC visit which was achieved.Hospital Director was very encouraging and we worked towards ensuring the team are ready for the changes that are imminent with the new build. soon to be completed. Great times ahead. Helped towards quality improvement.The role at Brighton was to help with recruitment of professional staff as well as the stores supervisor, these were achieved. Reviewed risk assessments, and policies as well as managing the day to day running of theatres looking to make improvements.Travelling was tiresome and the role was interim also so left after agreed 4 months. A full and varied career as I love to remain in theatres and have continued with the scrub role s well as management
