ABOUT JANET GAGLIANO
I am the National Practice Leader of the Abandoned and Unclaimed Property (AUP) practice. I have over twenty years of experience assisting clients in a broad range of abandoned and unclaimed property services and directives aimed at minimizing exposure, reducing liability and managing compliance strategies. I have structured unclaimed property reporting and compliance programs for acquired businesses and new product developments, as well as, conducting third party and state directed unclaimed property audit defense engagements. My experience spans multiple industries including, but not limited to: retail, financial, insurance, utility, mortgage, professional services, and manufacturing industries Prior to joining PwC in 1997, I was with the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer, Escheat and Unclaimed Property Division. My primary responsibilities included leading audits of corporations to ensure compliance with the escheat and unclaimed property laws of North Carolina. I have made numerous presentations on Abandoned and Unclaimed Property at local and national conferences and seminars.
