WORK HISTORY
Graduate Research Assistant @University of Maryland Baltimore County
Baltimore, MD, US
Investigated brain activity differences using MATLAB-based toolboxes such as CONN to estimate seed-based, region-based, and voxel-based functional connectivity differences, comparing healthy normal controls and patients with schizophrenia, from resting-state functional MRI data. • Implemented energy landscape method to analyze fMRI time courses and extracted spatiotemporal signatures from brain using neural networks and auto-encoders.• Used independent component analysis (ICA) by entropy bound minimization (EBM), entropy rate bound minimization, and FastICA algorithms to determine the highest correlation between the estimated mean and true mean statistics of mixed and unmixed songs.• Performed group ICA by EBM on subsampled sets of 50 subjects with balanced HC and SZ. Selected most and least consistent runs from multiple subsampled sets.
