WORK HISTORY
Director @Maitland Consulting Ltd
I am an executive coach, writer and facilitator. I have a psychodynamic background and a particularly interest in communications, gained from 20+ years working as a communications consultant. My previous focus was on \"helping people and organisations to have better conversations about things that matter\". While that continues to be an interest, I increasingly work as a coach, particularly around mid and late career transition. After a cancer diagnosis in my 40s, I am passionate about helping people address Mary Oliver\'s question:\"Tell me, what do you want to do with your one wild and precious life?\". Before a serious health diagnosis, divorce or bereavement forces the question upon them. My clients are primarily in professional services firms (WTW, Aon and Grant Thornton); pharmaceuticals (AstraZeneca, GSK, Molnlycke and BASF) and public and Third Sector (NHS, Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Red Cross, Comic Relief and the Lymphoma Association.) My coach training includes Birkbeck; Tavistock Consulting, Bath Consulting, the Coaches Training Institute and Time to Think. I am accredited through APECS (the Association of Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision). I hold an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths, write crime fiction and run workshops around creativity and creative writing and am Vice Chair of New Brewery Arts in Cirencester.

While communication continues to be an interest (it\'s at the heart of everything that we all do) my work increasingly focuses on coaching around mid and late career transition. After a cancer diagnosis in my 40s, I am passionate about helping people address Mary Oliver\'s question:\"Tell me, what do you want to do with your one wild and precious life?\"- before a serious health diagnosis, divorce or bereavement forces the question upon them. I also have a strong track record in facilitating leadership teams, designing and facilitating sessions, particularly with senior leadership teams, aimed at \"helping people have better conversations about things that matter.\" My clients are primarily in professional services firms (WTW, Aon and Grant Thornton); pharmaceuticals (AstraZeneca, GSK, Molnlycke and BASF) and public and Third Sector (NHS, Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Red Cross, Comic Relief and the Lymphoma Association.)
