ABOUT JANELLE MACKINNON
Janelle MacKinnon has been practicing Occupational Therapy in the field of work rehabilitation since 1991. She graduated from Université de Moncton, New Brunswick in 1988 with a Diploma of Health Sciences followed by a Bachelor of Sciences in Occupational Therapy from Université Laval, Québec in 1991. Janelle is fluent in both French and English languages. Janelle is registered and a member in good standing with L’Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She has occupied positions with the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission of New Brunswick as a clinician and also as a consultant in case management. She has worked for private rehabilitation companies specializing in injury prevention, functional capacity evaluation, work hardening, work reintegration programs, ergonomics and clinical management. As an Occupational Therapist, Janelle valued community-based Occupational Therapy in the early development stage of her practice. Following several years of experience in the private sector, she established Ergoconcepts in Gatineau (Québec) in 2005. Ergoconcepts is a unique Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation firm providing community-based and Functional Rehabilitation services to private corporation, government agencies, insurance companies, medical /legal communities and self-referred clients.
