About Janelle Kono

I am an operations and administrative professional with a strong foundation in nonprofit, healthcare, government, and retail organizations. Much of my work has centered on supporting low-income communities and communities of color, where I’ve applied trauma-informed care principles not only in client-facing work but also in how I build and support staff teams.My passion lies in creating systems and processes that make organizations more effective, equitable, and sustainable. From streamlining budgets and payroll for nonprofits, to developing SOPs for public transit programs, to reducing patient no-shows by 67% with a simple innovation, I’ve seen how thoughtful administration can directly impact people’s lives.I’m motivated by social justice values and thrive in roles where I can connect operational excellence with meaningful community impact.
