ABOUT JANELLE KENNIE

Bio-I grew up with my family working in the construction arena. It was only natural that when I entered the workforce that I searched for an industry with all the values I grew up with: hard work, cooperation, integrity, teamwork and the drive to deliver excellence. I started as a team contributor, following instructions and delivering great work. During long shifts amidst a large workload and tight deadlines, I began to regard my team as my second family. I wanted to ensure team members were safe and sound when working on high-risk tasks. This is when I started taking an interest in safety. I wanted everyone on my team to wear steel-toe boots, operate equipment safely and be aware of the environment so everyone could go home safely at the end of the day. That was the pivot I needed to point me in the right direction. I went on to become a dedicated Safety Coordinator with years of progressive experience in the field. I obtained my OSHA Certification and became a Certified OSHA Outreach Instructor. In the last few years, I have garnered a firm understanding of regulatory compliance, hazardous material handling and incident response. I am passionate about ensuring the safety and wellbeing of my work family.
