ABOUT JANE JIN
Jane is a Co-founder of OXCCU, an Oxford University spinout focusing on developing cutting-edge technological processes and catalysts to convert waste carbon such as CO2 into sustainable aviation fuels and chemicals. Since the company was set up in 2021, Jane led the company as the Chief Operating Officer and scaled up the business up to 24 people from pre-seed round to Series B. Most recently Jane evolved her role to be Chief Innovation and IP Officer, responsible for leading OXCCU\'s innovation and IP strategy. Before joining OXCCU, Jane was the ClimateTech Innovation Lead at Oxford University Innovation (OUI) with over twelve years of experience in innovation management, IP commercialisation and venture building. She helped academic co-founders to set up OXCCU with pre-seed investment and served on the board for one year before joining the company full-time as the Chief Operating Officer in 2022. During her time at OUI, Jane led spinning out of five Oxford spinouts including Fluorok and OXSED secured 250K to £3M seed round investment. In addition, Jane successfully launched Oxford Climate Tech and Sustainability Innovation Challenge 2021, an initiative led by Jane to engage Oxford researchers with local innovation eco-system in Oxfordshire to tackle climate crisis together. During her time at Oxford, Jane was also responsible for setting up and managing the IP and commercialisation practice over three years at Oxford Suzhou Center for Advanced Research, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oxford University. Jane was nominated and selected to represent Oxford University Innovation at TenU Future Leaders programme in 2020. Jane started her first job as an Consultant Analyst working at Oakland Innovation at Cambridge after completing her PhD, where she helped global consumer and industrial companies such as P&G, Shell and PepsiCo to identify and evaluate market opportunities of new technologies and products, and develop strategies to enter new markets over 80 projects within four years.Taking challenges and stepping out of comfort zone while keeping the focus, Jane is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation and mentoring, committed to work together with the team OxCCU to build the next climate-tech unicorn at Oxford.
