ABOUT JANE CORDES HONSNPQH
I have 34 years years experience in Education, most of which has been in Senior Leadership. I have now commenced my 4th Headship having previously held roles at Prague British International School, GEMS Cambridge, Nairobi following my first UK Headship. The journey has provided me with a vast range of opportunities and insight and I have met and worked alongside some amazing colleagues from around the world.I am a visible leader and empower both staff and students encouraging them to take risks, embrace change and be leaders. Challenge is essential at every level to enable students to make progress and be truly inclusive. No student left behind is a mantra and I and my team strive to deliver this. In my first headship in the UK I took my school from satisfactory to good with outstanding and moved results from 20% to 71% 5A*-C in just 2 years. I have also completed School Improvement work where I developed staff and systems to improve SATs results by 24% and this was recognised by being awarded \'most improved primary school\' within a large MAT. At Prague British International School we achieved Excellent in All Categories and considerably improved results: GCSE 22% and IB 32.0 to 36.7, well above the World Average. At Compass Wheatley Park we obtained Good in all areas, with only one minor recommendation which was completed within an hour. We also had a successful material change inspection to increase student numbers.I have taught in primary, middle, secondary, special and FE, originally as a PE teacher but have taught many subjects and a vast array of vocational qualifications from L1 - L4. Between Headships I delivered hundreds of courses to thousands of teachers, leaders and support staff in teaching and learning, behaviour management, leadership, SEN and Mental Health. I also offered interim leadership and have consistently and effectively managed change leading to significant progress and school improvement. More recently I worked as a consultant to the ADHD Foundation and whilst there authored the ADHD Friendly Schools Quality Mark and the Licensed Instructor Parents Programme. I have also delivered Keynotes and written articles for SEN Leader. I am passionate about developing people and am enjoying working as a NPQ Leadership Coach alongside my role. This not only ensures that I am up to date with the current research and thinking in education but also provides the opportunity to support the growth of the next generation of school leadership.I have now taken on the role of National trainerGet in touch if you think we can collaborate.
