The Global Philanthropy Forum is a learning community of 750 philanthropists committed to international causes. Through its annual conference, programming, matchmaking and strategic advisory services, the GPF seeks to inform, enable and enhance the strategic nature of its members’ giving. As part of the GPF, devised curriculum for continuing education within a private sector corporation on global poverty, global health and climate change. Develop strategic plans for new foundations or those at an inflection point. Create seminars for new philanthropists to read the classics and explore the values that animate their giving. Members of the Forum reported in 2008 that the GPF had contributed significantly to their work (94%), that they had made new grants as a result of introductions made (82%), that they relied on one another and the speakers they met as “an ongoing brain trust” as they develop strategies for giving (83%).
