About Jane Stricker
I am a dynamic executive leader in energy who delivers exceptional results by developing effective strategies, coordinating resources, influencing decision-making, and managing performance. At the Greater Houston Partnership I lead a coalition of business, industry, academia and community leaders to ensure the long term economic competitiveness of the Houston region in a changing energy landscape. Houston is working to solve the dual challenge of more energy with fewer emissions. As a trusted leader, I have a track record of building consensus at all levels and across all stakeholder groups to deliver value and enhance the company\'s reputation. I am passionate about helping teams achieve success and taking on new challenges. As an integrated and connected thinker, I simplify complicated concepts and bring together ideas and processes to deliver solutions. In addition to my role leading the Houston Energy Transition Initiative, I also serve as an independent director for Greentown Labs, North America\'s largest energy and climate technology incubator and for BCarbon, a carbon registry that catalyzes ecological regeneration. I teach in the MBA program at University of North Carolina\'s Kenan Flagler Business School to support our next generation of energy leaders. As a former (amateur) competitive cyclist, I know the importance of competitive sports in developing both physical and mental strength. I serve on the resource board for Special Olympics of Texas, an organization committed to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with disabilities. When not working at the nexus of energy and emissions, I spend most of my time with my husband and dogs or riding a bicycle.
Experience
Advisor
Sep 2023 — Present
Pana LCE invests in and advises on real asset climate technology for a low carbon economy. Pana was founded to capitalize on a funding void in scalable climate tech, specifically in commercial stage, privately-held, real asset technology companies which can generate financial, strategic as well as impact (recognizable GHG emission reduction) returns. Pana is a growth equity investor and defines its role as a “rational actor” straddling traditional real assets and alternative climate technologies. Pana partners with all investors in climate – debt, equity and disciplines, insurance, asset management, banking, philanthropy, institutional, and family offices; it takes a large community to deploy the $100- 300T earmarked and needed for climate investments. I bring expertise on scalable energy transition solutions to Pana’s team. I advise the firm’s leadership on the Houston energy transition ecosystem, leveraging my 20+ years of experience in energy.
