Recent projects include:• Durham Creatives, originally an ERDF programme commissioned by Business Durham to support the creation of new creative businesses within the county. Initial target outputs (principally 100 new businesses) were achieved and the programme has been extended and is currently engaged with County Durham Cultural Partnership, Durham University, Durham Cathedral and other historic and cultural venues across the region. This project has also attracted additional funds from wider stakeholders such as Arts Council England, North East Rural Growth Network and East Durham Creates. • I manage SENhub, Sunningdale Teaching School’s professional development centre. This provides initial teacher training and professional development support for teachers and carers working with children with special educational needs.• Fifth Size Book Adventure funded by Arts Council England. I conceived and designed this programme in partnership with Newcastle City Library Service. This professional development programme for creative practitioners resulted in the creation and exhibition of new work by 22 artists inspired by the library’s fifth size book collection, and in new commercial opportunities for participants.
