ABOUT JANE PRESTON
A marketing and communications expert with over 25 years experience in the property profession. I started my career straight out of school at The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)- joining the Public Relations and Members Affairs Department. RICS provided me with an excellent grounding in corporate communications and event management - a learning experience I relished, in an environment in which I thrived for five years. I then had a \'year out\' of property at Alfresco Leisure Publications (Publishers of Taste Magazine, the Egon Ronay Guides and various specialist hospitality industry publications). After an initial project role compiling \'The Taste Hotel Collection\' book I worked directly for the Chairman, Roy Ackerman OBE. In \'91 I was head-hunted by Roger Southam to join his fledgling company, Chainbow Holdings PLC. A return to property and a fun-filled nine years ensued as we grew of the Chainbow brand. In I embarked on a completely new adventure with Aston Rose. I was tasked with marketing, communications and HR for the company, as well as providing graphic design, photography and brand consultancy services to a range of external clients. In December 2022 Aston Rose was acquired by Rapleys LLP, at which point I moved across to become Head of Marketing, another exciting new chapter. When I am not working I am generally found out somewhere enjoying life and laughing - a lot. A keen sports enthusiast - you name it, I pretty much like it! I have a passion for photography, cooking, skiing and travel (not necessarily in that order, but often combined!).
