I work on every production in Theatre Calgary\'s season, making sure audiences are impacted by the story being told. I work with the cast to make sure their are fulfilling the needs of their character\'s voice while still helping the audience to receive the message. I make sure the cast sounds like they are in the same world, occupying the same space and time in terms of clarity and sound. If a play requires accents or dialects to transport the audience in place and time, I guide the performers to historically and geographically accurate sounds dictated by the play/production. My job is to support the actors in their choices for the characters\' journey through the play, to be the ears for the director to the specific requirements of the production and to make sure the audience hears the story the way we intended.
