About Jane Coghlan
My journey in sustainability began with an internship at one of the first organic farms in the U.S, where I fell in love with agriculture and its relationship to planetary health. From there, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Food Systems with a minor in Nutrition and Healthy Living from Arizona State University (ASU) in 2022. I proudly belong to the first graduating class to receive this ASU degree. With a USDA NextGen scholarship, I’m currently continuing my education by pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Food Systems with a focus on food policy. In my job at the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems, I lead communication strategies and assist in projects related to organic agriculture and true cost accounting of food. Additionally, my dedication to organic farming and soil health has been recognized through my selection as a board member for the Grain Place Foundation.
