ABOUT JANE BLOCKLEY
I trained initially as a Bioscientist focusing my research on the inhibition of cell signal transduction and cell invasion and metastasis in the Department of Cancer Research at Zeneca Pharmaceuticals.Then, after several years in commercial roles to gain insight across the pharma industry, I decided to step back into science achieving a Regional Medical Liaison position with Celgene Ltd. I thoroughly enjoyed this position and spent eight years helping to build the role at Celgene and becoming the go to expert in the team for the Multiple Myeloma franchise.My experience and hard work paid off in 2014 when I won the Gold Award for the strongly contested national Pharmatimes competition ’MSL of the Year’.In addition to my scientific qualifications, I also hold an MA in Acting and Theatre Studies which adds greatly to my abilities when engaging and presenting to an audience!I now enjoy using my varied skill sets and knowledge to offer MSL support in rare disease and also to help support other MSLs into achieving their full potential within their roles as well as supporting those aspiring to become an MSL.
