ABOUT JAN DURKIEWICZ

Hi! I\'m Jan and I\'m a 3rd year student at the University of Toronto studying economics, political science, and philosophy. I\'m also a student representative on the Campus Affairs Committee where I advocate for student interests. I hope to eventually get into urban development and transit-oriented policymaking positions to serve my community! Through my employment and volunteer work, I have been exposed to many different kinds of roles. Whether it be administrative work as a tax filer or being an enthusiastic ambassador for my school, I know a wide array of skills and am always open to new experiences. I can adapt to new positions in many different formats and environments. I value the importance of public engagement. Ever since I discovered my interest in politics, I have been helping family and friends get informed before elections and set up \'voting groups,\' where we all go vote together to make sure that even those who are usually uninvolved get involved. I\'m a lover of alpine skiing during the winter and enjoy biking down trails in the summer. I also like visiting cool places and hope to go on some urban adventures soon!
