I’m Janay, a connector, builder, and believer in people’s potential.With over years of experience in workforce development, outreach, and community leadership, I specialize in turning partnerships into pathways — helping individuals and organizations grow together.In my role as Senior Job Developer with CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia, I’ve helped design and manage workforce programs that have placed hundreds of youth and adults in paid work experiences across Brevard, Flagler, and Volusia counties. I lead employer engagement efforts that have resulted in more than $50K in funded work-based learning opportunities, helping local businesses strengthen their talent pipelines while young adults gain skills and confidence.I’m often invited to speak on topics like collaboration, leadership, and community building — including the Community Bridging Partners Series, Level-Up Sister Summit, and several faith-based and youth empowerment events. Whether speaking to local leaders, students, or church members, I focus on real talk, real stories, and real results.Outside of CareerSource, I serve on the Planning & Zoning Board for the City of Titusville, helping guide responsible growth and represent community voices in local development decisions. I also serve as Vice President of the Women’s Ministry and a member of the Media & PR Team at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, leading campaigns like Operation Resurrection, a $1.2M project to restore a historic community building.As the host of “Janay’s Corner,” I use storytelling and conversation to highlight purpose-driven people and encourage dialogue that uplifts, heals, and inspires.At the end of the day, I lead with faith, empathy, and accountability. My mission is simple — to build bridges, create opportunities, and leave people better than I found them.
