About Janardhan Sridhara

I am a seasoned data scientist with 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in AI and Data Science. My expertise lies in solving solutions for critical drug discovery challenges and developing AI-enabled drug discovery platforms. This involves aligning stakeholder requirements, leading and mentoring a team of data scientists, data engineers, and developers in an Agile Scrum environment, and delivering CI/CD pipelines, dockerized applications, and model deployments in a cloud environment.Currently, I am working as a Data Science Lead at Dr. Reddy\'s Laboratories, contributing to the initiation of scientific capabilities and the development of a cloud-based AI-driven platform, Aurigene.AI, which features advanced predictive and generative AI models for drug discovery and development. Prior to Dr. Reddy\'s, I served as the Director of AI at PharmCADD in Busan, South Korea, where I led the strategic development of an AI-enabled drug discovery platform and managed internal R&D discovery projects related to data science.As a Lead Data Scientist for AstraZeneca Global IT & Innovation Center in Chennai, involved in the development of the Augmented Drug Design (ADD) AIML platform, where I implemented Structure Business Rules (SBRS) for compound registration and normalization and contributed to the Predictive Insight Platform (PIP) for predicting properties and generating AI-designed molecules.In my role as Lead Product Consultant (Product Owner & SME) at Cognizant Technologies, involved in the strategic planning and development of the cloud-native, AI-aided Drug Discovery AIDSISION platform for Merck, supporting AI-driven molecular design integrated with advanced visualization and evaluation metrics.I hold a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, where my research focused on developing data science and cheminformatics methodologies for creating new chemical entities (NCEs) for diabetes, and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (with Honors). I completed my postdoctoral research at CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad, where I was involved in developing an AI-based discovery platform (MPDSTB). I have published 25 peer-reviewed articles with a total impact factor of 58.6 and an H-index of 15 and have participated in numerous national and international workshops and conferences.
