About Janani Kumar

Education is not learning of facts but the training of mind to think\"- Albert Einstein.My goal is to empower the citizens of the world through data driven products, decisions and policies. I want to help build technology that will help people arrive at accurate, data backed solutions irrespective of their economic standing. I started my career as a Partner Technical Consultant at Microsoft and did it for two years. As a consultant I actively listened for product feedback and bridged the gap between engineers and users.In grad school I partnered with National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the City of Seattle to build a data product that will help policy makers understand \' Who is not using the Internet and Why\'. Post grad school at University of Washington Seattle, I joined Nike as a Software Engineer specializing in consumer data analytics. I helped deliver KPIs that drive business and product decisions. My next role should be ideally have me innovating products, building strategies and partnerships.
