   I manage the production cycle on approximately 3-5 core titles and 20-30 supplements each year. Tasks on core titles include:• Reviewing manuscript before sending it for copyediting.• Reviewing copyedits and sending them to authors for feedback.• Sending final edited manuscript for typesetting and proofreading.• Reviewing typeset pages for accuracy of content and layout. The authors will also review, and I will combine their edits with permissions checks and ensure all corrections are clear.• Liaise with Permissions to ensure receipt of final hi-res images for placement in pages.• Finalizing the typeset pages and approve for posting to the printer. • Track page count for manufacturing specifications and billing. • Notify team of project status, including scheduling, project concerns, issues encountered, delays, and change to release dates.Tasks on supplemental products include:• Hiring freelance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), copyeditors, proofreaders, and verifiers, as needed, to review and update instructor materials such as Instructor Manuals, PowerPoint slides, and Test Banks. • Create schedules for each product and report on progress to the publisher.• Negotiate rates for freelance work being done.• Review SME and freelancer work for accuracy and adherence to publisher guidelines and accessibility standards.• Monitor PowerPoints for adherence to accessibility standards (font type and font size are correct, alt text written for images).• Review Test Bank software for completion.• Provide final deliverables to publisher on time and in the desired format.Disciplines include Art History, Accounting, Tax, Business Communication, Political Science, English, Marketing, Human Resource Management.
