ABOUT JANAKI ANAGHA
Attorney for land and water justice focused on California’s deep rural communities. Creator of the Marigold Fund for Unincorporated California.Bio: Janaki Anagha is an environmental attorney and a Program Manager at the 11th Hour Project, where she is working to rewire how land, water, and climate resources flow to frontline communities in California’s Central Valley. Her work focuses on unlocking public and philanthropic capital for rural people, and to return California’s climate future to the hands of those who work the land. Janaki previously served as Director of Community Advocacy at Community Water Center and as an attorney with California Rural Legal Assistance and where she enforced worker protections and fought for access to safe drinking water. She is a cofounder of the California Farmer Justice Collaborative. She holds a J.D. and a B.S. in International Agricultural Development from UC Davis.
