ABOUT JANAKA RANABAHU

Throughout my 15-year career as a software developer, I’ve contributed to high-scale distributed systems, enterprise-grade middleware, and open-source projects. I hold patents in software architecture and data integration, and have a strong track record across finance, telecom, and e-commerce sectors.As a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, I focus on cloud observability and infrastructure solutions. I specialize in building scalable distributed systems that enhance the reliability and performance of cloud-native applications. Proficient in Java, Go, and Kubernetes, I’ve collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions aligned with organizational goals.Previously at WSO2, I supported the development of enterprise middleware and played a key role in driving service-oriented architecture (SOA) initiatives. I’m passionate about leveraging open-source technologies to solve complex challenges in cloud computing and distributed systems, many of which are reflected in my contributions on https://github.com/jranabahu.Mentorship has been a core part of my journey. I’ve guided early-career engineers and peers through complex technical challenges, helped shape team culture, and fostered growth through hands-on support and collaborative problem-solving.
