As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Social Sciences and Health Policy at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, I lead and support community-engaged projects focused on HIV vaccine hesitancy, community experiences navigating COVID-19, and broader pandemic preparedness. I design and implement qualitative evaluations grounded in the CFIR framework to assess participant experiences with interventions, and I contribute to pandemic preparedness initiatives by training community members in contact tracing and case investigation. My work also involves recruiting and screening participants, conducting a scoping review on pandemic response trainings to inform the development of a readiness tool for community-based organizations, and contributing to brand development and strategic communications to enhance lab visibility and community partnerships. Additionally, I collaborate on grant writing, manuscript preparation, and dissemination of research findings with the goal of advancing health equity.
