About Jan Weiler
Jan Weiler is a group leader of the Therapeutic RNA group in the Biologics Center department at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). He received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Konstanz, Germany in the lab of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Pfleiderer and was a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Functional Genome Analysis at the German Cancer Research Center DKFZ with Dr. Joerg Hoheisel, where his work focused on developing novel microarray-based expression profiling technologies. Since he joined Novartis Pharma Research in Basel, Switzerland as a lab head, he has participated in and led antisense oligonucleotide (ASO), RNA interference (RNAi) and therapeutic messenger RNA (mRNA) projects.
