I am proud that the activities of the Damen Shipyards Group (Damen.com) in the US & Canada have grown from virtually nothing to very substantial in the past 9 years. With new construction deliveries of 120 vessels in the past 9 years and with 30 vessels currently under construction in the US, Damen has gained a very substantial position in the North American Marine industry. The past three years I have been actively involved with the Super Yacht division of the DAMEN Group and since activities are growing here as well in the US more recently (January 1st 2020) I am excited to have joined the DAMEN YACHTING division full time. The private and family owned Damen Shipyard Group consists of 36 shipyards worldwide with over \'family\' members who passionately design, build and deliver ships on a daily bases. Damen is known for high quality vessel design and quality construction of standardized series of ships. In the US we have partnered with several excellent shipyards that use our designs and construction expertise to build worldwide proven designs in the most cost efficient manner. Multi-cultural European background has strengthened unique communication skills developed through more than 25 years of on site international experience. Negotiated complex, multi- million dollar contracts and transactions and built corporate relationships in many foreign countries throughout the world. Lives in the USA since December Joint the Damen Shipyards group in April 2011 and is responsible for all commercial activities of the Damen Group in North America. Has established a very noticeable presence of the Damen Group in both the United States of America and Canada with new vessel deliveries to new Damen customers worth hundreds of Millions of Dollars.Frequently referred to as a business ‘ambassador’ with unique skills to open ‘corporate doors’ and to build long lasting international relationships.
