It has been a great privilege to form the Sedbergh 500 Development Strategy, uniting the Sedbergh Community as we seek to raise £50m over the next ten years. For me the most rewarding parts of the job have been setting the long term strategy, marketing, relationship building, raising significant funds such that deserving young pupils can come to Sedbergh because of the work we do, all the while recognising accountability to stakeholders is paramount. As an entrepreneur I have brought a new and ambitious perspective to fundraising which will help secure the long term future of the School.In addition to my core role at Sedbergh School it has been a great privilege to support our feeder prep schools and local charities as they develop their own fundraising strategies.This diverse role includes:Setting ambitious strategic fundraising objectives and implementing the underlying planSupporting key feeder prep schools and local charities with their fundraising strategyFinancial reporting and liaison with key stakeholdersGuiding whole school strategy as part of the Senior Leadership TeamFinding creative ways to inspire donors and to fundraiseCreating a modern dynamic fundraising function in the School FoundationOrganising global events around the worldFundraising for Scholarships and capital projectsCareer support by engaging the help of the Sedbergh CommunityCelebrating the heritage of Sedbergh SchoolPromoting the activities of the OS ClubVisiting isolated members of our community who cannot attend eventsOrganising domestic and international tours, both sporting and historicalMaintaining links with AlumniMaintaining links with former parents and grandparents of the SchoolInspiring those who act as advocates for Sedbergh SchoolActing as an ambassador for Sedbergh
