ABOUT JAN POHL
I started my career in datacenters — servers, virtualization, keeping infrastructure running. Not glamorous, but it gave me a solid understanding of how enterprise environments actually work from the inside. What kept pulling me forward was curiosity. New technology would show up and I wanted to understand it — not just conceptually, but by actually working with it. That habit led me through cloud architecture, security, and eventually into pre-sales.Today I get to combine the technical side with something I find equally interesting: how you position, explain, and sell complex technology to people who need to trust it.I tend to look at things — a demo, a presentation, a sales process, a narrative — and think about how they could work better. Not for the sake of it, but because in this field the way you communicate something is often as important as the thing itself. At Deep Instinct I work across Sales Engineering, go-to-market strategy, and field messaging in EMEA. A lot of my time goes into making AI-driven prevention accessible to security teams who have heard bold claims before and need a reason to believe this one.I work across cybersecurity, ransomware prevention, cloud storage security, and enterprise pre-sales.Always happy to connect with people who are curious about where enterprise security, pre-sales, and go-to-market thinking intersect.
