Teach one section of AP Literature and Composition, four sections of English 10 and one section of English 10 Honors. Plan and present lessons for 85 minute block periods. Utilize Standards Based Grading and the Common Core State Standards when planning, teaching and assessing students’ skills. Differentiate instruction to embrace and apply the multiple intelligences theory. Use a variety of teaching strategies and methods to incorporate a holistic approach to literacy as well as reach all levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Employ a variety of classroom management strategies. Consistently contact parents to build a positive partnership between home and school. Wrote four concept based units for both English 9 and English 10. GED Teacher (English) – 08/14 – Present - Monitor and utilize Edgenuity program. GED Coordinator – 08/13 – 05/14 Attended all district coordinator meetings, maintained accurate records, filed all paperwork for program participants, scheduled all tests for students, and created a schedule for all students and staff members.
