About Jamye Cardello-Peters
As a content creator and filmmaker, I am a proud first generation senior at the University of South Florida, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in video and documentary production. I am passionate about media production, storytelling, and leadership development. I am always eager to learn, create, and collaborate on projects that make an impact.Before transferring to USF, I earned an Associate of Science in Digital Media / Multimedia Technology and an Associate of Arts in General Education from Pasco-Hernando State College. My journey at PHSC began in 2019 through dual enrollment, and during the 20••••24 academic year, I had the honor of serving as the Collegewide President of the Student Government Association. My leadership was recognized with awards such as the Dr. Felicia R. Barker Outstanding Student Leader Award, the Florida College System of Student Government Association Student of the Month, and I achieved Certified Student Leader status.In my personal life, I am a scoliosis warrior and advocate. I was diagnosed at 11 years old and went through 3 years of brace treatment at Shriners Children\'s Hospital in Tampa, FL. Getting diagnosed has influenced my life greatly, and it makes me want to change the world and help people in whatever way possible.
