ABOUT JAMSHID SHARIF-ASKARY
As the Chief Architect, I’m responsible for deriving the ‘zero-CarbonGrid’ blueprint for Grid of the Future and defining appropriate technical, business, and operating architectures. The GE zero-CarbonGrid blueprint will enable our customers to build out solutions and provide resilient sustainable energy access to their customers in a system of increasing scaling and complexity. They will be able to source solutions from a large ecosystem of vendors and manage anticipated needs brought on by the Energy Transition. As Director of Digital Energy Innovation Lab, I’m responsible for pioneering and leading an internal start-up, based in Melbourne, Florida, that provides a unique framework for customer collaboration. It operates as an autonomous operating unit, fully funded by customers, to collaborate on innovation projects to advance state-of-the-art in Grid of the Future operation & management. The programs span from inception to delivery and address cutting edge challenges based on the changing energy ecosystem.
